Thursday Keynote Presentation – Wild at Work: Finding Your Footing in Uncharted Terrain
Chris Heeter, Leadership Speaker/Wilderness Guide, Poet – The WILD Institute

How do we stay real and connected and engaged in this utterly new landscape? How do we keep staff healthy and supported, problem solve, and give kids what they need to do their best learning in a safe environment? With the help of her sled dogs, Chris Heeter brings a fresh and Wild perspective to this new terrain, offering insights, tools, inspiration, and solid ground as you and your colleagues adapt to what you know so far about the changes to the business of schools.

Education Credits

MASBO Credits
The “MASBO Credit” is now our standard credit, and will be offered for each one-hour live or recorded session. MASBO Credits can apply toward your MASBO certification designation. For live and recorded on-line sessions, your viewing is tracked by the Learning Center. If you have viewed at least 90% of the session, one MASBO Credit will automatically be granted to you—there is nothing else that you need to do to receive those credits.

Minnesota Board of School Administrators (BOSA) Credits
Due to constraints on how we can provide BOSA credits for virtual sessions, BOSA Credits will only be provided for select sessions. To receive BOSA Credits, you need to first indicate when you register for the event that you want BOSA Credits. When you register, this will be shown as an “additional product,” and just click on it. There is no extra charge, but this will just enroll you for the credits. For the Fall Conference, there will be a total of seven BOSA Credits available, and attendees must view the following sessions to receive those credits: Wild at Work, UFARS Hot Topics, Cybersecurity Trends, Leading Through Change, Special Ed Update, We Need More Students, and Sunshine on a Cloud Day. Once you register, after you have viewed at least 90% of all seven sessions, you will automatically be granted the seven BOSA Credits.

CPE Credits
MASBO has applied to NASBA to offer CPE credits for CPAs. We are currently awaiting review and approval, so at this time cannot offer CPE credits for virtual events. If the approval is given prior to the Fall Conference, we will update the event to make those credits available.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received by the MASBO office at least 48 hours prior to the event are eligible for a refund of the registration fee. No refunds will be provided for cancellations received fewer than 48 hours prior to the event.

Audio/Video Policy: Registration and attendance at, or participation at association events constitutes an agreement by the registrant to association’s use and distribution of the registrant or attendee’s image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions and audiotapes of such events and activities.

Code of Conduct: MASBO is dedicated to providing a welcoming environment for all participants, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, or religion. MASBO will not tolerate harassment of event attendees in any form. Those violating these rules may be sanctioned, expelled from the event without a refund, and/or excluded from attending future events, at the discretion of the organization.
